EHT International's iMCC is an intelligent and robust motor operating mechanism for controlling and monitoring disconnect switches. It offers variable speed control, monitoring, SCADA signaling, optional IEC 61850/DNP 3.0 communication protocols, optical positioning and more.

iMCC provides all the mechanical features of a conventional motor operator that is maintenance free and integrated with a high tech monitoring and control module called iCOD. iMCC is compatible with most single-turn disconnect switches manufactured requiring a rotation of 45 to 220 degrees. It can be used for multiple-turn disconnect switches as well. Using high precision gears, robust gearbox and an overrated motor, it is designed to operate for the life of the disconnect switch.

iCOD - Intelligent Controlled Operation Disconnect is the result of five years of research and development. Designed to provide utilities and heavy industrials a level of security for their substations and grids not previously available. Disconnect switches by their very nature are used in part to isolate areas within substations in order that maintenance can be performed, thus they are an integral part in the security and safety of substation personnel. However, conventional designs have elements that cannot be relied upon should connection to a smart grid be required. iCOD intelligent Controlled Operation Disconnect is the intelligent part of the motor operating mechanism. It eliminates the auxiliary cam switches typically found in conventional motor operated disconnect. It has the processing power to efficiently operate the DC motor in order to reduce arcing time. And it stores operational curves for later diagnosis of the operation of the disconnect
